Terms of service

1. Service provider

The Tattis app ("the Service") is provided by LaitonAI ("we", "our"). By using the Service you accept these terms of use.

2. Description of the service

Tattis is an AI-powered mushroom forecast app that combines weather, terrain, soil and phenology data to predict habitats for edible mushroom species in Finland. The Service offers heatmaps, offline maps and a mushroom journal.

3. Nature of the forecasts

Tattis's forecasts are statistical estimates, not guarantees that mushrooms will be present. Forecasts are based on public datasets and machine learning models. The user is always responsible for identifying mushrooms and verifying their edibility.

Tattis does not provide advice on the edibility of mushrooms. Eat only mushrooms you can identify with certainty.

4. Right of use

We grant you a limited, personal and non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these terms. You may not:

  • copy, modify or distribute the Service's content
  • use the Service for commercial purposes without permission
  • attempt to disassemble or reverse-engineer the Service's software
  • use the Service for any unlawful activity

5. User account

Use of the Service may require creating a user account. You are responsible for keeping your account information current and your password secure.

6. User content

The observations you save to the mushroom journal are your content. You grant us the right to use anonymised observation data to improve the Service.

7. Intellectual property rights

The Service's content, design, code and trademarks are the property of us or our licensors. Third-party datasets (LUKE, GTK, MML, FMI, laji.fi) are the property of their respective rights-holders.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted operation of the Service or the accuracy of the forecasts. We are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the Service.

9. Changes to the service

We may change the Service or these terms at any time. We will notify you in the app or by email of material changes.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes are settled in the District Court of Helsinki.
